I am based in Nottingham and teach throughout Nottinghamshire in a variety of settings, large classes, small groups and one to one tuition.
I initially trained as an Integral Yoga Teacher after studying many forms of yoga for over 10 years. This training is validated by the IGPP (Independent Guild of Professional Practitioners), Independent Yoga Network and the Yoga Federation.
I also hold a British Wheel of Yoga Diploma. Through YogaBugs and the Special Yoga Centre, I am qualified to teach yoga to children and students with special needs.
I have an ITEC Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology and current First Aid Certificate.
I have a great love of yoga which I hope to share through my teaching.
The focus of my yoga teaching is working with the individual to help each person realise and enjoy their spiritual and physical potential through their yoga practice. I believe that everyone can enjoy and benefit from yoga, regardless of age, ability, flexibility or health.
I have worked with many teachers during my years of practice and teach eclectic and creative yoga grounded in classical Integral Hatha yoga fused with elements of Ashtanga and Yin style practice. I aim to combine asana practice for all levels with pranayama (breath work), mantra and mudra yoga to provide a strong and rounded practice.
I have worked with people for many years both as a nurse and in various areas of health and social care. I try always to bring a sense of humour and element of fun into my classes.
